LEE GIRLS SPLIT FIRST THREE GAMES: At Georgetown, the Lee girls soccer team finished 1-1-1 through the first two days of the Lady Governor's Tournament after losing to Katy Taylor and tying A&M Consolidated on Friday.

The Lady Rebels (3-1-1) won their first game of the tourney, 3-1 against Pflugerville on Thursday. Mersaides Moya scored the first goal in the fifth minute on an assist by Rachael Solari. Whitney Smith scored the clincher on an unassisted goal three minutes later.
Kaitlin Willis pounded home the third goal 19 minutes into the second half on an assist by Jillian Stigall.
Katy Taylor handed Lee its first loss of the season, 2-1, despite Whitney Smith putting Lee up at the half with an unassisted goal in the fifth minute.
"That first half, I thought we played well. The second half, I don't know what happened," coach Amanda Melchor said. "We were a completely different team, we were off, we were confused-looking."
Melchor said A&M Consolidated was probably one of the fastest teams they had seen this year and the Lady Rebels played it to a 0-0 tie.
Lee plays its final game of the tournament today at noon against Fort Worth Pascal.
