Sun., Jan. 15th, 2006 Rebels lose last two
FRISCO -- The Lee boys soccer team dropped two games on Saturday to finish second in the silver division at the Frisco Tournament.
The Rebels lost by identical scores of 3-0 to McKinney and Frisco on the final day after winning their first two games.
"I think it was a good experience," Lee coach Chris Bryant said. "Fitness-wise we're not there yet. Other than that we're doing well. We've got a young team and this gave us a chance to see what we need to work on."
Lee (2-2) opened the tournament with a 2-0 victory against Fort Worth North Side on Thursday. The Rebels handed Arlington Sam Houston a 1-0 defeat on Friday to advance to the silver division.
Senior goaltender Kenny Worrell was impressive enough in Frisco to earn all-tournament honors for Lee. The Rebels open play at the MISD Presidential Cup on Thursday, meeting Lubbock High at 1 p.m. at Grande Communications Stadium.
