At Abilene, Lee broke a three-game losing streak with a strong offensive effort against Abilene Cooper. Rachael Solari scored two goals for the Lady Rebels (6-5-1 overall, 2-4 District 3-5A), her first two goals since Lee's opening district match. Kaitlin Willis assisted on the first and Clarissa Anderson assisted on the second. Solari's goals sandwiched Shelby Morrow's goal in the 13th minute, assisted by Kelsey Byars. All three goals came in the first half. Coach Amanda Melchor said before the game that her team's biggest problem this season has been poor first-half play. "I'm glad Rachael Solari got two goals," coach Amanda Melchor said. "We needed that for her confidence and for ours. It's good to have some steam going into (today)." Lee hosts Odessa High (3-6-4, 0-6) at 4:45 p.m. today at Grande Communications Stadium. Abilene Cooper fell to 5-5-0 overall and 2-4 in district.
